Typically various sets of users tend to use the same applications that use common features from a given host. They typically require the same volume resources and permissions of access to these shared volumes. For this reason, hosts are registered in groups that are identified with a group name, which serves as a root for all access control entries (ACEs) in the group.

Use the access group details view to display and manage an access group. This view contains the following panel:
Properties panel
The following properties display:
| Access ID Group

Name of the access ID.

| Number of Access IDs
|
Number of members (host access IDs) in the group.

| Number of Access Control Entries
|
Number of access control pools that are associated with the group.

The
Properties panel provides links to views for objects that are contained in and associated with the access group. For example, clicking
Access IDs opens a view listing the access IDs in the group (see
View access IDs).
